I've always loved working with agates and jaspers that are prospected and mined in the American West -- they come from here and they LOOK like it.
This ring features a cut of Deschutes Jasper out of Oregon and I've set it in simple sterling on a heavy band -- a spare setting that speaks to the spareness of the steppe country -- a place where beauty resides but is slow to emerge. Sometimes I like to let a stone do all the talking.
