Well, I was standing at the kitchen sink washing up some dishes and daydreaming as I looked out my window at the chickens doing chicken-y things in the back yard and I stopped what I was doing and exclaimed, "I need to make some chicken earrings!" I left those dishes to wallow in the sink and slipped into the studio to work and these chicken earrings are what popped out.
Sterling silver hens overlayed with beautiful texture, my apple blossom flowers and turquoise teardrops that look rather like eggs, freshly laid, still warm in the palm of the hand.
These earrings are a little eccentric but so are ladies who tend chickens.
Length: About 3 inches with hand formed and forged French ear wires.
