I was in the mood to make cluster rings last month which is a fun challenge in the studio. This cluster ring features 12 oval cuts of Kingman Turquoise in a really lovely bright, soft blue. The ovals are arranged in a rectangle instead of a oval or circle which makes for a pleasing contrast in geometry. This setting sits atop two layers of 20ga silver giving the entire piece a really beautiful, rich weight.
The band is also fabricated out of heavy sterling in 16ga with overlaid texture and my square cross. It will hold up beautifully for years to come.
This ring measures a size 9 on a mandrel with one of my wide and tapered bands -- due to the band width it will fit about a half size smaller than it measures, more like a size 8.5.
