This necklace design features a bison skull motif that has been part of my work for years and years though this is a new, dimensional iteration. I've paired it with my chunky square crosses on a length of really beautiful, nuggety turquoise beads. These rugged textures and symbols create a piece that is a perfect blend of dusty and rusty and trusty. Deliciously western.
These charismatic animals used to shake the foundations of the Earth when they moved across the grasslands of the USA. I long to know what those days were like, in the meanwhile, I remember them with my DNA and with metal and stone.
