We have an orchard here that we lovingly tend to and in it are a few ancient apple trees with wizened trunks and heavy branches. While I love all the trees in my orchard, the apple trees flower out with such humility and grace each spring, I've taken a shine to them. The apple blossom is humble, delicate, beautiful (in a girl-next-door sort of way), capable of withstanding gale force winds and sweet enough to summon the bees.
