The Filly series is inspired by my two year old Tennessee Walking Horse filly with her cremello coat and ocean blue eyes. She has such a great kick-up-her-heels spirit. I wanted to create something that had a piece of her energy and personality in it.
This design was also born of my admiration for the early artists who created the petroglyphs we come across often while hunting and hiking the canyon country here in Idaho. While petroglyph hunting this September I dove into researching the topic and was dazzled by some of the art of the early humans. When sitting down to design this horse motif I attempted to create something that honors the horse as well as an object that has an ancient, earthy feel to it...and here's what I wound up with. This tiny horse figure looks like it was painted with careful fingertips on the face of a boulder. Beautiful.

Dimensions: These ponies are about half an inch wide. Perfect on their own and a sweet pairing for multiple ear piercings. I like to wear my pair on a slight tilt so they look like they are leaping over my hoop earrings.❤️
