Well, here's one more piece I built to honor my habit here in Idaho and it's such a special, bold, spectacular piece.
The pendant features a beautiful old cut of mottled Kingman turquoise and a piece of a vintage beer can prongset alongside three of my gritty old square crosses. This pendant hangs from almost (not quite) 33 inches of handmade bench beads with a clasp that features my full hearts and two cuts of American turquoise.
The pendant can be removed from the bench bead strand so that the bead strand can be worn on its own. If you have any other pendants with a large bail you have the option of using this bench bead strand for those pendants, as well.
This is an extremely heavy piece since I fabricate my bench beads from 24ga sterling silver which is heavier than usual for handmade bench beads -- most jewelers use lighter metal but I prefer the rich feel of 24ga for my bench beads.
ALL sterling silver.
A one of a kind heirloom necklace made to be loved and worn and then handed down to your daughters.
