It's March and this river valley is starting to fuzz out green with all this rain and while I am thankful for every drop of precipitation I feel myself lifted up by the light when the sun breaks through and the clouds pass leaving blue skies and meadowlark songs in their wake.

Beautiful slices of rutile quartz -- golden hairs suspended in clear quartz -- look like sunbeams pushing through storm clouds. These stones are set simply and paired with beautiful bands that begin as multiple pieces of wire in multiple gauges which I slowly solder together and eventually form into bands. While they might look simple they are built very heavily giving these rings a really beautiful, rugged, enduring weight and feel.
